Disk had a raised printed label applied and appeared to be counterfeit, though curiously the disk as I recall had Obsidian or some other Bethesda associated company shown on the return address label. I’ve never seen this on a legit disk and the name and address could be easily spoofed. When installing, program was in Spanish, not English which was not stated in the listing. Did not attempt to activate code and did not install further.
Returned and purchased on Steam for less than half the price and had the code within a few minutes. Only reason for buying this was to have the disk Buyer beware.
The Fallout series of games has been a winner for a long time. While Fallout 3 was the least interesting of the entries, Fallout: New Vegas returns to the roots of the game. And when playing Fallout: New Vegas, this becomes readily apparent. It is head and shoulders above Fallout 3 in regards to storytelling and world building.
The final chapters revolve around the eponymous New Vegas, but not until you’ve likely done a bit of questing. The view is first-person, but the camera can be switched to 3rd person if you prefer. Thankfully, not every interaction is hostile and in-game characters will react appropriately to your perceived mis deeds.
