I have been trying to install Office Professional Plus for about 2 weeks now and I continue to get an error that says:. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system offcie. I had the beta installed on this computer but I uninstalled it before attempting to install this version that I just purchased.
I have gone through about a dozen threads this is obviously not an isolated problem on Microsoft Answers and Technet over the past 2 weeks trying everything that has been suggested. Here is a sample of the threads that I’ve gone through:. I have also tried everything suggested in the relevant KB articles that are listed in those threads. I just find it odd that a beta software release would cause a need to completely reformat the machine. If problems like that aren’t getting worked in alpha testing, some process needs to be reworked in the testing department – especially with the simple process of uninstalling a beta software simply to install microsoft office professional plus 2010 error 1920 free release version. I guess I learned to expect even less of beta software than I did before, and I’ll keep that in mind in the future with Microsoft beta programs.

So I then took it a step further and ran the install again constantly watching the services and as soon as the Office Software Protection Platform service appeared, rather than trying to start it like I did microsoft office professional plus 2010 error 1920 free, I immediately right-clicked on it and quickly set professionla Log On to log on with the local system account and then applied the changes and clicked OK.

The license for the professiomal even prohibits you from installing it on a production machine. My suggestion is to back up what you wish to keep and format the machine. And, in the future, install to a Virtual Machine or a second machine that you can afford to trash once the beta is over.
