Printer Delays, Slow Processing, disconnections. We had to delete and go back to a previous earlier dated version to make the PC work. WE have two pcs and are trying to delay, block the update. It looks like I can only delay for 30 days or so. I wish I could block the update permanently. I don'[t have any applications being used that were listed in the features up grade. The solution to my successfully updating to version was a 3-day telephone marathon wherein the Microsoft technician from India remoted into my computer.
He eventually had to completely uninstall Windows 10 and reinstall. He then deleted all unnecessary files.
My computer runs like a charm now; however, the 3-day 6 hours per day sessions took a lot of patience and perseverance on both sides. At least it got fixed! I am having an issue installing the Windows 10 version I received a message telling me that I need to update or remove AVG Antivirus before the installation will continue.
I attempted to remove the program but it is not installed on my computer. Please advise a solution to my problem. In reply to MaryMcCoy3’s post on August 4, I am having the same problem Mary I have installed on about computers laptops and desktops ,Not one of the computer updated automatically ,Many have not updated since ,Version does not auto install on any computer that I have checked You must manually select the option to do the update and most of the further updates after that.

In some cases, the third-party antivirus may have been restricting the update from downloading and installing. Check if you can disable the anti-virus service. In fact, it cannot be disabled. You can even uninstall it and can opt to install it once again after you have installed the Windows update successfully.
